Gambit

Fifteen games lost on move four. The same trap every time.

Gambit connects to your chess.com account, pulls in every game you play overnight, and runs each one through Stockfish and a set of pattern detectors. In the morning it tells you which mistake keeps costing you games, then drills you on it until it stops.

Private and invite only. Built for a small group of friends by Wicked Sick Ltd.

1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 g6?? 3.Qxe5+ Ne7 4.Qxh8 Found in 15 of one player's 282 games. The fix is 2…Nc6, then …g6.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Get an invite

Someone already on Gambit sends you a registration link. There is no public sign-up, and no one can look up a player who has not joined.

  2. Step 2

Connect chess.com and prove it is yours

Add your username, paste a one-time token into your chess.com profile, click Verify. Gambit reads your public profile once and never asks for your chess.com password.

  3. Step 3

    Games arrive overnight

Each night Gambit fetches your new games from the public chess.com API and runs Stockfish over your moves. Up to 200 games a day per person.

  4. Step 4

Read the report, then drill it

Leaks ranked by how many games they cost you, a review board for every game, and puzzles cut from your own positions.

What it looks for

Every move gets an engine verdict and a centipawn loss, the way any analysis board does. The detectors are the difference: named, repeatable patterns counted across your whole archive, so you can see whether last week's fix actually held.

Optional Discord layer: results as they happen and a weekly leaderboard for your server.

Rook taken by the enemy queen
The queen sortie that wins a rook on move four, and every later version of it.
Faced 2.Qh5 without …Nc6
You kicked the queen before defending e5. One move too early.
No Nf3 by move 3 as White
Leaves h4 open for the mirror-image trap.
Uncastled at move 15
Your king still in the centre in a game that went the distance.
Blitz rule broken
A game faster than the time control you told Gambit you would stick to.
Played on after three straight losses
A fourth game inside the hour, the one you usually lose.

Private by design

Gambit only ingests accounts whose owners have proved they hold them. Your games, analysis and drills are visible to you alone; the only thing other members see is the leaderboard, if you opt into it. Everything analysis-related runs on one server that Wicked Sick Ltd operates, and nothing is sold or shared.

You can delete your account from Settings at any time, and it takes every game and analysis with it.
